week’s reports, UPS ready to handle “last minute” Christmas parcels. This
Thursday, 22nd December 2011 is expected to be the busiest day for
the global logistics provider.
The latest projections forecast a volume of 300 parcels being delivered every second. This equals a total amount of 26 million parcels being solely delivered on 22nd December. In fact, UPS expects to transport over 25 million consignments on the remaining week days.

In order to process such large amounts, UPS Airlines will run 400 additional flights each day. Parcel deliveries can be made until 23rd December 2011.
